Mark Marchillo

Mark Marchillo is a classic Hollywood style Tapper and music video-style Jazz choreographer.  He’s the director/choreographer of the cult dance film, Breaking Legs, has danced in movies and TV, and is a former company member of the Rhapsody in Taps dance company in Los Angeles, CA.  He’s appeared for Beyoncé, the Grammys, and Norman Lear.  Classically trained, he studied at the San Francisco Ballet school, while also training under such jazz greats as Marguerite Derricks and Serge Rodnunsky.  For tap, Mark was mentored by Dean Barlow (Paula Abdul’s tap teacher/choreographer), and Old Hollywood choreographer Miriam Nelson.  Mark is a working director/producer in the entertainment industry, so if you can’t find him in the studio, he’s probably just on set somewhere.
